I love to watch the young and old interact. Â There is nothing more precious than seeing the connection of an elderly person laughing it up with young children. Â We are in Michigan visiting our family. Â We were enjoying the reception at our grandson’s wedding when one of our grandsons, Hayden, decided to join the dancers on the floor. Hayden and his twin brother, Owen, are so much fun, but none of his family expected him to turn into a young John Travolta. Â He twisted and twirled and danced up a hoot for over an hour. Â When I asked him where he learned how to do this he just gave me a sheepish grin and said, “it just came to me.”
Owen did not venture out on the dance floor, but he did his own rendition of James Bond that left us in stitches. Â Children are so free and so much fun. Our great-niece Hanna, loves to play dress-up. Â We put bandanas on our heads made from tissue paper and blew imaginary bubbles of air at each other in the garden. You can be so free with children. Â In Mark 10:15 it says: “Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.”
My sister-in-law Pat and brother-in-law Wendell were playing a game the other night and before too long we were laughing and snorting and having a ball of a time..why? Â We were acting like children. So grab a laugh and dance with joy and let Jesus join you and see how good it makes you feel.
